Dear Friends of the National Autism Association - Northeast Ohio (NAA-NEO),

Thanks so much to all who came out to the Beachland on August 1st to support our benefit show with Todd Snider and Garrison Starr! It was not only awsome musical entertainment but also a successful fundraiser which brought NAA-NEO and the families we support close to $10,000 from ticket sales, a raffle, corporate sponsorships and in-kind donations.

NAA-NEO is very proud to have been able to organize a third benefit concert for autism at the Beachland Ballroom. Garrison and Todd staged a great concert, a show with an intimate feel to it, particularly for those involved with autism in one fashion or another. The artists have not only agreed to play for a competitive fee but they spent some time talking with the organizers about autism as well as about their music.

NAA-NEO has been seeking and securing sponsorships to this year’s fundraising musical events, including the August 1st show with Todd Snider and Garrison Starr, all year long.  Our efforts so far in 2008 have raised over $45,000 to help families through our Helping Hand Program in 2008 and 2009. We are very grateful for NAA-NEO’s sponsoring organizations’ ongoing support to children and families with autism.

We want to thank Cindy Barber, owner of the Beachland, who has been very supportive of our non-profit by hosting our benefits.  This partnership with one of the coolest hangouts in Cleveland has been invaluable to us.  Last but not least a huge thank you to our board members and volunteers who made sure the event ran smoothly...sort of.

Please scroll down to view our largest sponsors for our August 1 event! Stay tuned for an upcoming booksigning event as well as more cool musical benefit shows to enjoy in 2008 and early 2009.  Please visit our website periodically for frequent updates on the services we provide to families including our autism and financial planning workshops, support group meetings and the the 2009 Helping Hand Grant Program (to be announed in September 2008).

We hope you had an awesome time at the event! Again, thank you for attending the show and for your generous support to local children with autism and their families.

Parent Testimonials

"I just wanted to thank you for the scholarship for my daughter. You all are a blessing in disguise! I dont know what families like ours would do without the generosity of others who either have a child with autism, or who is just sympathetic of our situations."
-Parent from Cleveland, Ohio

"Your generousity is truly appreciated by our family and will be a temendous help this year."
-Parent from Summit County, Ohio

"What a huge relief to be able to do the HBOT treatments – an 'extra' [treatment][… ] that brings such promising hopes. Thank you all for your personal efforts to help families cope with and reverse the daunting symptoms of autism. Without your financial help, I am not sure we would be able to do these extra treatments..."
-Family from Seven Hills, Ohio

"The money granted by NAA-NEO is going to be put towards our daughter's speech therapy expenses. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover this cost and we pay out of our pocket.”
-Family from Fairview Park, Ohio
